To be completely honest, I didn't prepare too much. Intentionally cause I feel like it would take the adventure out of it a bit. It's like having a plan for every small detail, which is kind of what I want to avoid.
The only thing I really wanted to have was a place to stay in NY. Not only because it is really convenient having a roof over your head in such a huge city, but it made me feel more comfortable starting like this :D. So it happens I found someone thanks to a friend of mine (Leyla) who had contacts.
Furthermore I did not want to have the feeling after that I missed out on a lot of stuff or did not visit something cause I was not aware of its existence. Resulting in an evening of pleasure reading other road trippers' blogs and comments on TripAdviser a.s. which did not provided me with a lot of new info. After some good laughs about the stories I've read my conclusion was to just go from NY to Philadelphia, further down to Washington. Hoping for some good refferences from locals while I am going my way down is my game plan.
Wish me luck with a smile :)
Greets,
